What is the difference between "Здра́вствуйте" and "Здра́вствуй"?

    "Здра́вствуй" is appeal to one person. (you can use it with friends)
    "Здра́вствуйте" is appeal to group of people or respectful appeal to one (you can use with professor in university, or with any elderly person)

    It is the same difference as between "вы" and "ты".
