"Were you aware of this earlier?" - by itself, this is correct and complete.
"Were you aware of this before?" - this is possible, but it needs some context. Before "what"? If we already know what "what" is, then this question is OK as part of a dialogue. Otherwise, you could write, "Were you aware of this before I found out?"
PS. To present yourself as a decent English user, please write "you" properly.
