    Hi Hailey,

I want to remind you Rose asked how to pronounce Hyejung.
Even though I cannot deny that Hyejeong is a more common name than Hyejung, that's not appropriate reason for pronouncing Hyejung in a different way other than I explained.

"Hyehjung, H+yeh Jung. Not heejonk." This is your answer. I don't have any intention to argue with you but I would like to ask if you really believe people can figure out what you explained is 혜정 and pronounce it correctly. I doubt that.
Anyway, we all might need more thoughtful consideration to questioners.

After joining this internet community several days ago, I found I really don't know much about my own language. So I tried to found necessary information regading correct transliteration and pronounciation symbols on the web, but most of the representative sites in Korea related to Hangul are really disappointing to me.
Can you believe that I sent mails, suggesting some modification, to some of site managers .

For the people who desire to learn Korean language, I think we need standardization and common rules as soon as possible. Comparing to Chinese and Japanese, I feel we are far behind in terms of internationalization of Korean language. I hope you feel in a similar way. Why don't we become good friends in this field?

    Thanks

    Heesu

    heejonk

    Hyehjung, H+yeh Jung. Not heejonk.

The name HyeJung in Korean Character is 혜중. I'll give you pronounciation guide to read it correctly.

    [Pronounciation guide]
As for YE in the first part of Hyejung, it is a vowel very similar to that of YES /jes/ whose pronounciation code is /je/.
And U in the second syllable of Hyejung, it is very similar to the vowel of BOOK /buk/ whose pronounciation code is /u/

    Re] Imheesu
Hyejung will be 혜정 in Korean letters. Acually 혜정 is more common than 혜중.

"hay (as in 'hey you!') joong"
