    il "ne" presuppone una quantità, quindi va sempre accompagnato con degli uncountables.
    Non ne so niente (I don't know anything about that)/non ne so molto/ne so poco/ne so troppo (ma: non so tutto).
    "lo" invece è un semplice pronome diretto: non lo so/I don't know it
