What is the difference between приходят and прийти? I`m confused, they both mean to come. Right? What is being implied in these prefixes?

The point is in the congruence. Use have to make agree the verb with the noun.

Приходят means “to come” used for “they” to express the present tense:
    Они приходят — they come

Прийти is for “to come” used for “I, you, he, she, it, we, they” to express a sub action:
Я хочу прийти — I want TO come

прийти - this is initial verb. приходят - declination of the verb, in plural. Come - прийти. They come - они приходят
