Could you tell me the difference between "song" and "tune" ? When I want to express what is performed by a rock band, which do you use commonly? for example... I have listened to "something" performed by Queen.

I think of a song as lyrics plus melody. A tune is usually only the melody.

A song is composed of lyrics and melody/tune. A song is not a song without a tune. So a tune is an ingredient of a song. :)
