When should I say gern and gerne? Is there any rule to help know which to use?

Are these sentences correct?

Ich trinke gern Tee-I like drinking tea.
Ich höre gern musik- I like listening to music.

I have also noticed sometimes 'gern/e' is placed at the end of sentences. Is there any rule on where to place gern/e?

Can you please show me some simple sentences using 'gern/e. Thank you.

Well, it's quite simple. If you want to say what you (often) like to drink/read/do, you say:
    "Ich trinke gern XY."
    "Ich lese gern XY."
    ...
"gern(e)" is placed directly after the verb. It's the answer to the question: "Was trinkst/isst/machst du gern?" ("What do you (usually) like/love to drink?"

If you want to emphasise that you have got a different opinion, you put "gern" at the end of the sentence. For example in this cases:

Person 1: "Krimis sind total langweilig. Ich mag sie nicht!"
Person 2: "Also, ich lese Krimis gern." (Well, _I_ love to read mystery.)

Person 1: "Diese Schokolade ist mir zu süß."
Person 2: "Ich esse die Schokolade gern." (Ich mag die Schokolade.)

Person 1: "Die Katze hat ins Bett gemacht. Ich hasse sie!"
Person 2: "Das kann man waschen. Ich habe die Katze trotzdem noch gern."
