"좋아라 하지"

What is this form? Is it a quotation form for "좋다" expressed as exclamation??

How is it different from 좋아하다? Is it also different from 좋다 하다?

Does it follow the pattern of 좋아하다 where it can take both a subject & an object
??? We know another way of saying "to like" is to express in this form XXX가 좋다 which is similar to say XXX를 좋아하다. The subject and the object switch roles but the meaning remains much the same. What about 좋아라 하다? Does it take an object as the target of affection? XXX를 좋아라 하다 or should it be XXX가 좋아라 하다???

Maybe an example should illustrate this:

비싼 카메라를 들고 사진관에서 여권 사진을 찍으면 와이프가 좋아라 하지 않을 것이 분명하므로 어떻게든 자작 여권 사진을 만들어 내야 한다.

So what exactly the wife is doing? She does not like the what? where is the object? the photo? or the fact that she is taking a passport photo at the photoshop. Also if this is a quotation form, who is quoting this? The author or the wife??
