    Sort by:

    Wohnen means to live as in to reside somewhere (She lives across the street.)
    Leben means to live as in to be alive and not dead.

    Leben kann verschiedene Bedeutungen haben:
    1.) wohnen (z.B. Ich wohne in Bochum, Deutschland)
    2.) seine Existenz gestalten (z.B. Ich lebe, so wie ich es will!)
    3.) nicht tot sein

    Benutzt man "wohnen", denkt man an seine Wohnung, Partner, Möbel, Haustiere, Garten.

    I think you want to know what the difference is between:
    --> Ich wohne in Berlin.
    --> Ich lebe in Berlin.
    If you use "wohnen" it is more that you indicate to your address; the place where you are or where someone can find you. If you use "leben" you emphazise more that you are spending your actual time at that place.
    Hope, I could make it clearer for you!
