What do you think is the difference between simple past tense and Present perfect?

Sometimes,i dont know to use which.......

    Past tense refers something happened in the past time, and it has no effect for your current action or your life.
    Present perfect refers that something happened in the past time , continued to the present time, perhaps will continue into the future, it have effect on your current action or life.
    example:
    I did my homework last night. 我昨晚在做我的家庭作业(强调动作,在做,但不一定做完了)
    I have done my homework last night.我昨晚做完了我的家庭作业。(强调这个动作目前为止已经完成了,我现在不用再做了)
