En vs le with 2 verbs

1) je lui reproche de faire l'idiot
we changed to 'je le lui reproche'
why we use le to replace de faire l'idiot here?

2) je lui reproche de faire des bêtises
--> je lui reproche d'en faire
why we use en instead of le? with No.1 above, the structure is also de faire xxx.........

3) on nous interdit de faire du bruit
--> on nous l'interdit
compare to number 2, its also de faire with du/de la/ des
why we use le here?

this is so difficult and took me a night to solve but didn't succeed

    The reason you use "le" in (1) and (3) is that "le" replaces the entire phrases, "faire l'idiot" and "faire du bruit."

    The reason you use "en" in (2) is that it replaces "des bêtises" only, not the whole phrase "faire des bêtises".

    So for example, you could also rewrite (3) as "on nous interdit d'en faire" if you only replace "du bruit."
