Questi due termini hanno due significati diversi, anche se l'uno può essere la conseguenza dell'altro(they have two different meanings, but one is the consequence of the other). You "lasci" a place when you have to partire for another one. You can "lasciare" a person alone, your boyfriend, something somewhere or on a desk. You can "lasciare" your fears behind you (you aren't afraid anymore). You can "partire" to (per) whatever place or simply "partire" from your house to go to somewhere and other similar stuff.
