Grammar Question

I have a spanish class that I'm having real difficulty in. I've studied with our textbook and on online resources but I'm still having questions.

For example, a question is.
¿Les dieron las sopa a tus amigas?
And I answered
Si, ellos se la dieron
We're suppose to use the correct object indirect and direct object pronouns to answer the question.
It's a Spanish 101 class, but could anyone tell me if my answer is right or not?
And if it isn't right what is the right answer and what did I do wrong?

Another example is
¿Te compraste los vasos?

No, no me los compre

    ¿Les dieron las sopa a tus amigas?
    And I answered
    Si, ellos se la dieron

    The correct form to make the question is
    ¿Les dieron LA sopa a tus amigas?

    DO is what= soup
    IO whom = amigas

    In "les dieron" you don't make difference about who gave them soup, was she o he? then the answer is without genre

    Si, les dieron la sopa a tus amigas

    DO is what= soup
    IO whom = amigas

    ¿Te compraste los vasos?
    DO= vasos
    IO= "you"

    I do recommend you this web page http://www.studyspanish.com/lessons/iopro1.htm
