    If I am driving, the light turns green, and I go forward, I would say "I went past the traffic light." I can't think of any special term for it.

    If someone goes past the light when it's red, the term is "to run a red light."

    "to pass the traffic lights" is fine. you could also say "i went through the light" to mean you went under it.

    we say "I ran the light" or "I ran the red light" to mean I went through the light when it was red.
