Hi!Could you help me to answer the following questions? Thanks!

1. because the teams that are not so large or haven't got a lot of money also TAKE PART.
Question: can i use 'take part in' instead of 'take part' here? What's the difference between them?

2. Science is the production of knew knowledge that can be applied, while technology is the application of knowledge to the production of some products, machinery or the like.
Question: the sentence means that 'science' is abstract, while 'technology' is concrete, right?

3. There is nothing about men's appearance to suggest they belong to an entirely different age.
Question: What's the meaning of this sentence? Does it mean that we can identify men's different age just through their appearance because their appearance will not have any apparent change?
