Hi friends, help pls!!! What does "What were your motives in upsetting me like that" mean?
In English test paper, there is a completing question above and i really don't get it. Can anyone please help me with explaining this?

You can rephrase the question as such:
"Why did you upset me like that?"
"Why did you decide to upset me in that way?"
"What were your reasons for upsetting me in the way you did?"
