What is the difference between "Название" and "имя"?

    Имя more for humans (or live, animated things, or unique ones), but with exclusions. When we use "имя" we consider this thing (or person) a bit animated or unique.
    Название - for inanimate objects, phenomenons, etc.
    Кличка - name for animals or "nickname" for people (sometimes offensive, sometimes not)
    Наименование - synonym for Название

    "имя" for people, "название" for things

    а ещё есть такие слова как "кличка" и "наименование"
