Can anyone tell me the difference between using "es gibt" and "da ist"??

    Both "Da ist" and "Es gibt" can be translated as "There is", but "Da ist" is more referring to the place (it is often followed with pointing the finger).

    Es gibt viele junge Leute.
    Da ist viele junge Leute. (pointing your finger)

    Es gibt = Hay ...
    Da ist = Aqui está ...
