ㄴ데/은데/는데

can anyone tell me the use of ㄴ데/은데/는데.It seems that they can be used to replace 고/아,어서/지만/니까.However, I was wrong for the following sentences. They confussed me a lot!!
1)내일은 바쁜데 영화를 볼 수 없어요(what i mean is:I can't watch the movie as I will be busy tomorrow)
2)집에 갔는데 텔레비전을 봤어요(I went home and watched TV)
3)시간이 없는데 숙제를 못 해요(I don't do homework because I have no time)

    "verb stem/noun + (-ㄴ/는)데" means "base form of verb/noun +(이)다 + 그런데".

(clause 1 is the reason for clause 2)

    2.집에 갔는데 텔레비전을 봤어요.
    = 집에 갔어요 + 그런데 + 텔레비전을 봤어요(O)
(Actually you wanted to do other things but you had to watch TV)

    집에 갔어요 + 그리고 + 텔레비전을 봤어요(O)
    = 집에 가서 텔레비전을 봤어요.
    (Here "-아/어/여서" means "and")

    3. 시간이 없는데 숙제를 못 해요
    = 시간이 없어요 + 그런데 + 숙제를 못 해요(doesn't make sense.)

    시간이 없어요 + 그런데 + 숙제를 해요(O)
    = 시간이 없는데 숙제를 해요.

시간이 없어요 + 그래서 + 숙제를 못 해요
    = 시간이 없어서 숙제를 못 해요(O)

    \^o^/

For sentences in the structure Aㄴ데/은데/는데 B, the statement A gives context to B. The actual translation differs between so/and/but depending on the context. I personally find it easier to pause in the middle and have a 'feel' for what it means each time (usually only one of the three would make sense). So:
    1)내일은 바쁜데... 영화를 볼 수 없어요
I will be busy tomorrow... *so* I will not be able to watch the movie
    2)집에 갔는데 텔레비전을 봤어요
I went home... *and* watched TV
    3)시간이 없는데... 숙제를 못 해요
I have no time... *so* I can't do my homework (A, so B - you can also switch the translation around such that it means B because A)

    Hope that helps!
