    1.The apple is red. (その)りんごは赤[あか]いです。

    2.It is john's apple. それはジョンのりんごです。

    3.I give john the apple. 私[わたし]はジョンに(その)りんごをあげます。

    4.We give him the apple. 私たちは彼[かれ]に(その)りんごをあげます。

    5.He gives it to john. 彼はそれをジョンにあげます。

    6.She gives it to him. 彼女[かのじょ]はそれを彼にあげます。

    7.Is the apple red? (その)りんごは赤いですか?

    8.The apples are red. (その/それらの)りんごは赤いです。

    9.I must give it to him. 私はそれをかれにあげなければなりません。

    10.I want to give it to her. 私はそれを彼女にあげたいです。

    *I think this sentence is incomplete.

    [ ] = how to read the kanji.

    *Since generally we don't have articles in Japanese, その is needed when you refer to the specific object depends on the context.
