    The difference is hat the first sentence is wrong (and maybe a direct translation of "I like to learn German"), while the second is correct (though "Ich lerne gerne Deutsch" or "Ich lerne Deutsch gerne" is better). :-)

    It's always "mögen + Infinitiv" (without "zu"). It depends on the auxiliary verb.

    You can also use "etwas (Akk) mögen" and an extended infinitive: "Ich mag es, Deutsch zu lernen". Still, the variant with "gerne" ist better.
