Expired question
Jyutping vs. Yale

Though Cantonese Yale is widely used, it is not as reliable as Jyutping. Needless to say, books on learning Cantonese mostly have Yale in them. Could I bypass this problem by substituting Yale's fourth and fifth tones with Jyutping's?

P.s
I say Yale is inaccurate because it describes Cantonese as having a falling tone, which is not the case.

For learning: Chinese (Cantonese)
Base language: English
