When learning English as a second language, has tone of voice or gestures been a challenge?

    Tone of voice is a feature of language but it is not a critical one, so I would say it is not a big problem if you are not able to match the Spanish tone 100 percent accurate in the beginning, Spanish speakers will still be able to understand you. As for gestures, little by little you will get to see certain gestures associated with certain expressions or situations, you will first see them eventually they will come naturally to you. But people will still understand what you want to say if you do not use them.
