What is the difference between 金継ぎ and 金繕い?

How do you use them in a sentence and what is the difference between the meaning of the two? Do they both mean to repair with gold or is one different?

Same. Although 継ぐ and 繕う mean somewhat different --the first means to put fragment together and 繕う means to repair--, when it comes to 金継ぎ and 金繕い, they are identical. One of the coolest invention Japanese made.
