    ~ねば is formal/old. It pretty much means the same as なければ. It's a conditional in the negative form (if not). So, for example, 食べねば means ''if you don't eat''.

    On the Internet you can find the grammar explanations about the 4 conditionals in Japanese (~ば、と、~ら、なら). Look them up on Google.

    Your question needs correction ;). It can be said as: 「返さねば」という単語を説明してください。「~ねば」という構文は何でしょうか。
