what is the difference among these verbs "scream, shout and yell" ?

    There is little difference between "shout" and "yell", but "scream" is usually not applied to a word, instead a high-pitched sound made by humans.

    They are all the same. The only distinction I can think of is that "scream" can be used when someone is suddenly scared... you would "scream" in a horror movie, but you would not shout in a horror movie and would probably not yell either.
