What's the difference between نزل and راح in Egyptian Arabic?

I was reading a book and in it I saw the sentence "و سامي جوزي نزل الريسبشن". Would it be incorrect to say "وسامي جوزي راح الريسبشن"? What exactly is the difference between the two?

Thanks in advance everyone.

There is not much difference to be honest. The message you want to send is that, Sami went to the reception, and you achieve that with both. The first means that Sami went down (from his room) to the reception, while the second means Sami went to the reception (plain and simple).
