[Help] - About the use of "had been + ING"
When do i supposed to use this form ?
For exemple: We had been speaking all day. I was time to stop. This is correct ?
Thank you in advance.It's : It was time to stop* ( I forgot the "t")

Minor spelling and use of tense.
the use of "speaking" is correct.
An English speaker would never say "I was time to stop"

It is the present perfect continuous(progressive) tense.
