Like to or like -ing? I don't really know when I have to use Like to and like -ing?. Could someone help me!!!

From "Advanced Learner's Grammar": "When like means 'think something is a good idea', we only use the infinitive. Compare: I like going/to go to the gym. It's so relaxing. (=I enjoy visiting it) Because of my weight problem I like to go
