Zur zeit sehe ich mir manche Sendungen von SRF, und ich kann gar nicht (überhaupt nicht) verstehen was die Schweizer sagen (oder - ich kann gar nichts davon verstehen, was die Schweizer sagen).
Ich weiss nur, dass sie 'ig' statt 'ich' sagen...(I did not understand the rest of that sentence. Sorry, man:) ).
Vielleicht ist ihre Sprache mit Französisch gemischt?
The Answer: Schweizdeutsch is not an accent really. It's a dialect. Many native speakers who speak perfect hochdeutsch have trouble understanding Schweizdeutsch, not to mention the whole lot of Austrian dialects. My advice - concentrate on hochdeutsch first. Then you can go on with the dialects. :)
