Can you explain to me the different usage of 没 and 不? I first learnt 不,then I learnt that 没 is used together with 有, but 没 can be used also with other verbs. I understood that 不 can be used for negating an action that you don't want to do in the present or that you don't intend to do in the future: Subject + 不 + Verb. 不 is also used to negate some habitual actions: Subject + 不 + Verb + Object. For example: 我不吃肉。 不 is normally used with adjectives: 不 + Adj. For example: 超市不远。 不 can be used to ask questions: Subject + Verb + 不 + Verb + Object. For example: 你是不是我的老师? 没 is used to negate past actions: Subject + 没(有) + Verb + Object For example: 他没有打电话给我。 Only 没 is used to negate 有: Subject + 没有 + Object. For example: 他没有女朋友。 没 may be used to make simple comparisons (not as...as) : Noun 1 + 没有 + Noun 2 + Adjective. For example: 我的钱没有他的钱多。But I feel that it is actually more complicated than this! There are some verbs that just need to use 没 or 不 or both but the meaning changesIt isn't easy if I have to remember all the particular cases and exceptions. Are there rules that work always? (I'm afraid unfortunately there are some exceptions). And if a verb may have 不 or 没 what's the different meaning of using one instead of the other one? And how do I choose between 没 + verb or 没有 + verb? Thanks a lot for your help. I think it isn't an easy question.

Ciao Fabio! Ti faccio tanti complimenti perché sei davvero molto bravo! Hai mangiato? 我没有吃饭. Non ho mangiato. 我没吃饭. Non ho mangiato. 我还没有吃饭呢. Non ho ANCORA mangiato. (l'espressione 还没有 (verbo) 呢/还没有呢 (forma contratta semplice, senza la ripetizione del verbo usato nell'interrogativa) si usa per dire "non ancora") In quali altri modi si usa 没? Per fare un'interrogativa affermativa negativa, come: 1) 你吃饭了没有? Hai (già) mangiato? (si usa proprio terminare l'interrogativa al passato con了没有. Altri esempi: 你学习了没有? Hai studiato? 你看电视了没有? Hai visto la tv? etc. etc,) 2) 你吃没吃饭? Hai mangiato? 你去没去? Sei andato? In entrambi i casi posso rispondere in due modi: 1) 我没(有)吃饭. 我没(有)学习. 我没(有)看. 我没(有)去. 2) 没有 (forma contratta semplice: No) Non credo sia necessario usare 有 davanti ad un altro verbo, cioè non credo sia necessario dire: 我没有吃饭. (Non ho mangiato). 我没有看电视. (Non ho visto la tv) Ho spesso sentito dire anche: 我没吃饭. 我没看电视.

it's very easy 不 --- is used with 是 and present tense 没 --- is used with 有 and past tense as you say 你 是不是 我的 老师? you can also say 你 有没有 我的 老师? 没 + verb is same to 没有 + verb, no difference

(Ho dovuto dividere in due parti la risposta perché avevo superato il limite massimo dei caratteri.) Sicuramente se usi 有 nel significato di "possedere", "avere", devi assolutamente usare 没, nella forma negativa e non puoi usare 不. Es. 我有中国朋友.Ho degli amici cinesi. 我没有中国朋友. Non ho amici cinesi. 我有 Ipad. 我没有 Ipad. Infine, come tu stesso hai notato, l'espressione 没有 si usa nelle frasi comparative. In questo caso non ci stiamo esprimendo su un'azione passata o presente ma su un paragone. A me avevano spiegato che 没有 si usa per indicare una GROSSA differenza tra i due termini di paragone. Es. 火车没有飞机快 Il treno non è veloce quanto un aereo. (L'aereo è più veloce del treno) 他没有你那么高 Lui non è così alto quanto te. (Tu sei molto più alto di lui) Questo è tutto quello che so! :) Non conosco altri casi in cui utilizzare 没 o 没有. In bocca al lupo per il tuo studio!
