Present perfect and past simple! What is the suitable tense to be used in the following sentences? Present perfect or past simple? I'm delighted with what you (have done / did) I'm delighted with what you (have said/ said)

It depends on whether or not you're studying American or British English. I'm American and would tell you that both are correct, but British speakers would disagree. Use of present perfect is slightly different between American English and British English. More common in American English: Ouch! I cut my finger! More common in British English: Ouch! I've cut my finger!
