What word can I use instead of "boyfriends" in a phrase referring to my friends who are male? I'm writing a letter and I didn't want to use this word because of its double meaning. I'm brazilian.

Its' not usually necessary to specify that your friends are male, so I'd usually say "my friend(s). However, if you must specify then I'd use the term "my male friend(s)"

As others have said/implied, a boyfriend is always a lover. I agree with Kimmar that you can choose to not specify but I see that you feel differently. Otherwise, 'male friend' is fairly standard. 'My buddy' implies a friend who is male without romantic involvement. If you feel strongly that the relationship needs to be precisely defined, then you can always spell it out.
