"Det trængte den til" in this context

It's from TYS Danish, a conversation.

Er hun sød?
Ja, det synes jeg. Og hun er et ordensmenneske. Hun har fået ryddet op i Sørens lejlighed.
Det trængte den til. Hvornår gifter de sig?

I cannot understand the meaning of the phrase "Det trængte den til"

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi Nicolas
"At trænge til noget" means "to need something".
"Det trængte den til". Here "den" refers to the apartment (lejligheden), and "det" refers to "ryddet op" (cleaned). So it means: She cleaned up Sørens apartment. It needed that.

Other examples of use: Jeg trænger til ferie. I need a vacation. Jeg trænger til en is. I need an ice cream. Jeg trænger til at løbe. I need to run (not in the sense of need to run away from danger, but more like an urge to exercise).

    I hope it helped!
