Sally: Look at the red menu bar at the top of the page. On the far right you will see the COMMUNITY menu. Click that and find Notebook, Answers, Discussions. If you have questions, such as the one you posted here, you can enter them in Answers. You can use Discussions to discuss for free, anything you like and post your own subjects for others to discuss. If you want to send a private message to someone, click on their name or picture and find the FOLLOW menu. If a person accepts your FOLLOW request, you can send them private messages and exchange such things as a Skype ID or E-mail address.

Salam Sally; first of all, welcome to Italki for exchanging languages. I think Bruce was explaining to you the way of using the website. You contact people who are interested to your language or your accent, and you make a plan of meeting. Also, you can practicing your writing and native speaker will correct and give you some advises. If you have to be asked, you go to community, then you choose question. In there, you put your question. The second part, if you are looking for native speakers for English practicing, I advice you before you write your article, post it as an English post, to be available for every English speaker.
