    "en train de" is used in French to express, like you said, a continuous action. The construction is as follows:
    Subject + conj. être + en train de + infinitive

    Examples:
    Je suis en train d'étudier le français. (I am studying French.)
    Elle est en train de faire ses devoirs. (She is doing her homework.)
