Is there a difference between "maro" and "brun", if so what's the difference?

as a color you could say both are the same. however maro is used much more widely used for everyday life, while brun is rarely used, and can point specific nature-type objects such as flowers/animals etc ... example "urs brun" => this is the only common example i can think of.
