What does "Even" mean? I was hearing a song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5isTk2DqwJ8) and there's a phrase on it that says "The need to get even". And yesterday i was watching SpongeBob and he said to Patrick "Now we're even". But I can't understand if this word have more than 2 or 3 meanings. Thanks (:

If someone does something bad to you, another friend might say "you need to get even". Your friend is suggesting that you do something bad to this other person, in return. After you do something bad, you friend can say "now you two are even".
