What is the different between "presentation" and "surrender"? Thank you! It's in a Letter of Credit: BELL OF LADING INDICATING THAT THE CARRIER OR ITS AGENTS MAY RELEASE GOODS UNDER THE SAME WITHOUT PRESENTATION/SURRENDER IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.should be "difference"

Sorry, made a mistake, answer the question before reading your content. :( And, I googled the content, and it seems: Presentation: send the Original BL. Surrender: telex release The whole sentence: 显示不提交/交出正本提单而承运人或其代理就可以释放同一提单下的货物,这样的提单是不可接受的。

presentation: give a statement. It is an act. Surrender: give up to someone or something. More like an attitude.

It's pretty confusing! I'm not entirely sure what they are referring to, but whatever it is you aren't supposed to show it to someone (present) or give it to them (surrender).
