What is the difference between ( してません ) and ( していません ) ? What is the difference between ( してません ) and ( していません ) ? and why we put ( い) ? Thanks in Advance .

The progressive tense is constructed by conjugating a verb to the -て form and adding いる. Ex: 食べている - Eating 飲んでいない - Not drinking 書いていた - Was reading However, in speech (and sometimes in writing too), this is shortened by removing the first い in いる. I think it's because it's simply easier to say. Be careful in a more formal context though!
