go off topic- deviate from-stray from If you are writing and do not focus on the topic given , what would yuo say you are off topic you stray from the topic you deviate from the topic ? thank you

"You've gone off on a tangent." "You've digressed." "Deviate" and "stray" are correct as well, but pay attention to the verb form. In this context, you would use present continuous or present perfect.
