Which one is correct "close date" or "closing date"? How should I write in the planning documents when the task is done? "Close date" or "closing date"? For the starting of the task I am writing "open date". Thank you

In a planning document you can write "start date, completion date". Closing date is usually reserved for deals, not tasks. You close a deal, and money changes hands. You complete a task.

Dear Ganesh, thank you for your help. I need some levels of date to show that the separate tasks and later the whole report will be completed. So I will use "closing date" when whole report will be completed.

loretak, I think "closing date" is correct, apart from that you may use "tail end, last, terminal, ultimate" as per your requirement.
