please explain this for me. i will really appreciate it. 1 CFR ( a term of trade) means that the seller must pay the costs to bring the goods to the named port of destination but risk of lose of or damage to the goods, as well as any additional costs due to events occurring after the time the goods have been delivered on board the vessel. in this case i think that the seller shall pay for the costs of bring the goods to the destination. but after the goods have been delivered on board, the seller don't need to pay for the risk of lose or damage or additional costs. am i right? 2.the term "certain amount in figures and in words" i think the "word" represent the meaning of currency. is it? and i do not know why it can have this meaning.

a) See the wikipedia page for CRF etc:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cost_and_Freight#Cost_and_Freight b) Without more context I cannot be sure, but in several kinds of documents (for example cheques) it is usual to express the amount of money both in words and in figures.

1. It seems like your definition is missing some words or you've mistyped when you copied it. "the named port of destination but risk of lose of or damage to the goods, as well as any additional costs due to events occurring after the time the goods have been delivered on board the vessel." This doesn't make sense. It says "but"; however, it doesn't explain the contrast to the first phrase. 2. I don't understand this phrase. Can you give some context? Where did the phrase come from? I have never heard it before, but I do not understand why "words" would mean "currency."
