"little less than" meaning
"The woman’s nose is a little less than perfect."
It means the woman's nose is not perfect at all or just not that perfect?
What about "The woman's nose is less than perfect?" = far from perfect?

It could also mean it's not perfect at all - the "a little" could be a kind of sarcastic politeness - but it's impossible to know without seeing the context. If the person is understood to be beautiful then the sarcasm wouldn't be implied.
