In a show I was watching I heard the phrase "うたがらい/だいすき" and it makes sense for it to be だいすき but it sounded so much like an "r" sound at the start for some reason?

I'm sure that is だいすき cause we don't have a expression ~がらいすき.
Well, I'm guessing that little children might pronounce ら when they wanna say だ.
