what is the difference between 에 and 에서 ?

Usually, '~에' is used in situations like someone/something is 'at ~' or someone is going 'to ~' or some/something is doing something 'at ~(object)', and '~에서' is used when someone is doing something 'at ~(place)' or someone/something came/is coming 'from ~'.
