prefer I ´d prefer you to help me . I know this is correct But what about I always prefer you help / to help me ? Is the use of " would " mandatory for the use of the following "to infinitive or not? Thank you

In both cases you can remove the word "to". I'd prefer "that" you help me. I always prefer "that" you help me. But both sentences are improved by adding "that"
