Unfortunately I haven't been in Armenia, but I have friends who have been and they said the people are extremely friendly and it safe for tourists. They specially recommended me to vist Nagorno Karabagh.
I studied a wee bit about Stalin and his impact in the Armenian economy. But it was 16 years ago and to be honest, I don't remember much :-) I don't have a good memory.
I went to an Armenian restaurant in London. The flat bread (lavash) as well as the yoghurt soup were delicious. Also, there was Armenian music playing in the restaurant and although I couldn't understand a single words, it was truly brilliant! :-)
