how to understand the “like a face seen …… a single moment.”? “The impressionists, like Monet, knew more than anyone that reality is not seen but felt. We only get an impression of reality. A space without limits, without borders, with a different perspective from the one we learn in geometry. Where a straight line isn’t the shortest distance between two points but is, in fact, a warped space like a sheet of paper, until the two points meet. Like a face seen from different angles that blend into a single moment.”

It means. When you look at face it is constantly moving. Therefore, you are seeing it from different angles/perspectives. But somehow, all of the angles blend/merge into one picture (the image at that exact moment).
