The kanji for "kakeru" In the context of getting a perm for hair, I always hear the verb "kakeru." However, when I search in my dictionary, I cannot figure out which verb/kanji is actually the one being used in this context.

Is that パーマをかける? If so, the kanji is 掛ける but generally we use hiragana for this verb in the case of "to have one's hair permed". I hope this helps you.
